Online Resources
The internet can help you find a dentist, the answer to a trivia question, or the best price for a new kitchen appliance. But have you used it to find ways to grow in holiness? Here are some helpful links.
Meeting Saints
Those who have been named Saint, Blessed, Venerable, or Servant of God by the Catholic Church were ordinary people who responded to God’s grace in extraordinary ways. They can inspire us to do the same.

The Catholic Encyclopedia (originally published in 1917) includes detailed saints’ biographies. http://newadvent.org/cathen/
Great news sources to keep up with new saints: https://www.ncregister.com/ and http://ewtn.com/
The Vatican
This page isn’t hard to find. http://w2.vatican.va/content/vatican/en.html
But this page helps you access papal documents. http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/index.htm
And this page gives information from the Congregation of the Saints (yeah, you have to make your browser clumsily translate it into English unless you speak Italian). http://www.causesanti.va/content/causadeisanti/it.html
The Catechism of the Catholic Church is online here. http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM
The Bible
If you’ve studied the Bible for very long, you’ll want to look at passages in multiple translations. There are several sites with multiple translations:

Though I will confess that I generally use this simple site (with no ads) to do word searches since I prefer the RSV translation. https://quod.lib.umich.edu/r/rsv/
A great online resource for Catholics who want to learn about Scripture: https://stpaulcenter.com/
Do you have a Bible study in your parish? If not, this is a great program for women. https://walkingwithpurpose.com/
Prayer
The last part of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a great prayer book and very readable. http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p4s1.htm
If you need to be convinced about the value of prayer, look for any book written by St. Teresa of Avila, St. Therese of Lisieux, or St. John of the Cross.
A great online resource for prayer. https://spiritualdirection.com/
Virtue
Why does it matter how your live your life? See the third part of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P5D.HTM
Why be pro-life? Read Pope John Paul II’s “Gospel of Life”. https://w2.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/encyclicals/documents/hf_jp-ii_enc_25031995_evangelium-vitae.html
